Senior Leadership
As Nuspire’s CEO, Lewie Dunsworth works closely with the leadership team to develop growth strategies and ensure the company consistently delivers on its vision, mission, purpose and strategic goals. Dunsworth is a visionary leader who is well-respected in the cybersecurity space, as both a practitioner and business leader. Bringing more than 20 years of industry experience to Nuspire, his experience and focus on innovating technology platforms—with the constant enhancement of service delivery processes—drives a vision of helping clients achieve their expected outcomes.
Prior to joining Nuspire, Dunsworth held positions including Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Executive Vice President of Global Security Services at Herjavec Group, CISO at H & R Block and Senior Vice President of Advisory Services and Managed Services at Optiv.
Dunsworth earned his bachelor’s degree in network and communications management from DeVry University and earned an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) from the University of Missouri. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
As Nuspire’s CFO, Ken Carson is responsible for the overall financial strategy and direction of the organization in addition to leading human resources and other administrative functions. Carson has more than 20 years of finance and accounting experience, specializing in businesses experiencing rapid growth.
Prior to joining Nuspire, Carson held roles as a Vice President of Finance inside Walmart’s e-commerce division and served as COO and CFO of specialty retailer Moosejaw for over ten years. Additionally, he held roles as the Controller for Murray’s Discount Auto Stores and was a manager in Ernst and Young’s audit practice.
Carson received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Michigan State University and became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2000.
An accomplished leader, innovator and premier thinker in cyber security and risk management with a proven track record of success, J.R. Cunningham has performed executive consulting, architecture, and assessment work across the globe and in a wide variety of industries including manufacturing, insurance, healthcare, education, intelligence community, retail, and government. Prior to joining Nuspire, J.R. built and led industry respected executive consulting practices for Optiv & Herjavec Group. J.R. is known throughout the industry as an evangelist of practical and business aligned security techniques. Prior to his work in security and risk, J.R. directed technology operations at MarketWatch.com, one of the world’s most visited web sites.
As Nuspire’s CRO, Pete Shah leads all aspects of field operations, which include sales, partnerships, and marketing. He drives the company’s growth strategy by leading high-performing teams that consistently deliver superior levels of customer and partner value to fuel scaling revenues.
A technology revenue and operations executive with over 25 years of proven achievements within the global enterprise software and services domains, Shah most recently served as CRO for Fishtech Group/Cyderes (MSSP), yielding a successful exit and merger with Herjavec Group, backed by funds advised by Apax Partners. In addition, over the past 15 years, he has held senior executive leadership roles with cybersecurity and network performance management companies Haystax, Cyren and Infovista.
Shah is a graduate of Penn State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in International Marketing.
Michael Wilson leads the Technology division of the organization, which involves the vision, strategy, architecture, infrastructure, development, and production system operation of Nuspire and its clients. Wilson has a proven track record of delivering value to customers through custom-built solutions in two previous cybersecurity companies, with a focus on differentiation, innovation, and execution.
Prior to joining Nuspire, Michael was CTO and first employee of FishTech for CYDERES (Cyber Defense and Response). There he started building their MDR platform, developed partnerships with Google and GCP, and grew the company to be a major competitor in the Advanced MSS & MDR space. Wilson also has experience working for FishNet Security, H&R Block, and Optiv. He is passionate about keeping the ‘startup spark’, leading teams, and will ensure we stop to celebrate the milestones. Wilson received his bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University.
