Endpoint Protection Methods

Active Protection
Active Protection provides a continuous defense against threats by scanning accessed files (read, open, copied, moved, executed, etc) for malicious content and malware.
Behavioral Scanning
Behavioral Scanning is a proactive detection technology which uses heuristic methods to detect new potential threats in real time. Process’s actions are observed and scored - if the overall score for a process reaches a given threshold, the process is considered to be harmful and is blocked/quarantined. This feature is critical to detect zero-day malware because antivirus signatures a reactive against known malware while Behavioral Scanning is proactive in the detection of new malware and new malware variants.
Scheduled Scanning
Scheduled Scanning scans the entire computer for all types of malware threats such as viruses, spyware, adware, rootkits and others. Nuspire configures two types of scheduled scans. A lightweight scan which by default scans running processes in the system drive for malware and Deep Scan which performs a thorough scan of the entire computer while not in use (after hours).

Nuspire’s Endpoint Protection service guards against today’s complex security threats while lowering the total cost of ownership. By utilizing security expertise, endpoint technology, and industry best practices to manage and monitor the remote endpoint security, potential issues are quickly identified - providing businesses the technology advantage before threats grow into widespread issues.
