Technical Support Desk Technician

Position Description/Responsibilities:

As a result of our tremendous growth, we are seeking multiple entry level Support Desk Technicians for remote phone technical support.  Focus of the job will be assisting remote customers with their questions about any of our supported software and computing platforms to the best of their ability in a professional and courteous manner. In addition, responsibilities will include:

  • Respond to incident calls and emails from users on technical support related issues.
  • Provide first level remote troubleshooting support on desktop, software and browser issues
  • Follow provided procedures for remote user password resets
  • Escalate unresolved cases to relevant onsite and remote support teams
  • Document all reported incidents and help identify trends to assist in future problem resolution
  • Configuration of equipment for customers

Required Skills: 

  • Computer troubleshooting
  • Windows XP to 10 knowledge
  • Customer service
  • Professional writing style
  • Phone etiquette
  • Excellent judgment skills to be able to properly evaluate situations and immediately provide effective solutions                
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Aptitude to pick on new technologies

Education/Certifications/Training Required:

  • Associate Degree or equivalent knowledge in any IT related course of study, or equal experience in enterprise environments.

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • CCNA
  • Network+
  • A+
